TRTG's role is to educate, facilitate, coach and train our students on their ability to avoid conflicts and defend themselves utilizing their experiences, perspectives, individual strengths, and personalities - to be harder to attack, to be less vulnerable, and to live safer. Its a comprehensive defensive training built on self-controlled, disciplined, intelligent decisions and actions.
We do not teach our students how to fight.
Learning to fight is not a self defense strategy. Instead, we teach our students the skillsets of avoidance: identifying threats, reading our environments and recognizing behaviors that may indicate imminent bad behavior. However, if we can't avoid a conflict, we first want to try and de-escalate, BUT, if we have to engage, we engage to escape not engage to win through our PITA principle (Physically Intense Targeted Actions).

Join us as TRTG presents another Foundations of Self Defense Course focusing on women, their safety and their ability to defend themselves. We don't teach our students how to fight. Instead, we help our students assemble a personal defense strategy comprised of intellectual, emotional and physical skill sets to facilitate our safe passage throughout our day. Our Program begins with our 4 week Foundations of Self Defense course where we introduce the foundational strategies, principles concepts and physical techniques of personal defense, thereby increasing a safer environment where ever we go.
Once students graduate from the "Foundations" course they are eligible to enroll in our Next Level Training Program where we work with to develop their skill level through personal defensive training.

This class is designed around the universal concerns that ladies might have about their personal safety as they go about their daily lives. Our self defense program is especially keyed into how we might deal with a larger and more intimidating attacker.
Our Foundations of Self Defense personal defense training, is held on Tuesday night for ladies only or if you prefer, we have public classes for men and women on Thursday night. We promise you will be immersed in a welcoming environment where you will learn new self defense skills, increase your environmental awareness, and have fun.
