Our Perspective
Everyone is different. No one is the same height, weight, or build. No one sees life from the same perspective. Each of us lives our lives with different family, professional, relational, and social dynamics. Therefore, no one will defend in quite the same way....but everyone can learn to defend.
We Are Coaches
We don't consider ourselves teachers or instructors in the traditional sense. We provide a floor of knowledge and then lead you, guide you and coach you to to help you build on that and develop your strategy that works best for you.
We are Welcoming
We are thrilled to have anyone and everyone attend our classes and courses. We expect everyone to treat everyone else with respect and humility...making them feel as welcome as the first time they attended.
We are Principle Based
We don't teach what we call a linear version of personal defense. that is to say if they do "X", then you do "Y". We coach from a perspective of applied principles. Our perspective is that personal defense is a 10% physical endeavor and a 90% Intellectual and emotional discipline. Not everyone executes the same technique equally, therefore everyone will not defend the same way. If we can teach people how to think through a situation they will have a much better defensive strategy...one that fits them.
