Once you complete the "Foundations" 4 week course, there are additional opportunities to advance your skill set and self-defense capabilities.
Developmental Self Defense Weeks 5 – 16 - Completion Earns an Orange Belt. Our goal is to build on the orientation class and provide a greater foundation of self-defense skills encouraging students to develop their skills beyond basic principles and expand their knowledge and confidence with respect to self-defense.
Tactical Self Defense Weeks 17 – 52 - Completion Earns Green Belt. This course will continue to build on the orientation and foundational courses and expand into the students’ individual strengths and weaknesses. During this time, we will pay close attention to these strengths and weaknesses and learn what techniques each student can use that will be to their greatest advantage. We will also develop competencies around these techniques while building their confidence and adding self-defense tools to their toolbox.
Advanced Self-Defense Weeks 53 Plus – Students will progress thru and earn their Blue, Purple, Brown, Brown/Black, Red, Red/Black, Black/White (Recommended) belts. Students in this program will build on the previous Basics, Foundational, and the Tactical Self-Defense Programs. They will develop the proficiency of their expertise to a higher standard in those areas while adding specializations from other more advanced areas of self-defense including weapon defenses. Each colored belt up to the Recommended black belt will be a minimum of 16 weeks before they are tested for the next belt.
