Class I - Foundations of Personal Defense
This is the class where everyone starts. Its a 4 class course where we introduce the basic tenants of personal defense: Avoidance Skills, De-escalation Skills, and Physical Engagement. We will cover:
- Basic Hand strikes
- Basic Leg Strikes
- Abduction Defenses
- Choke Defenses
- Concepts & Principles of Personal Defense
- Application of Physical Techniques
- Understanding Predatory Behavior
- 5 Elements of Self-Defense
- Avoidance and Awareness
- Reading Human Behavior

We meet once a week for 4 weeks. Each new class begins on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:15 pm. Custom classes and private sessions can be arranged for groups and individuals for more convenient scheduling.
Class II - Development of Personal Defense
TRTG's development classes reinforces the lessons of the Foundations course and seeks to raise the proficiency of the students ability to defend against personal assaults and other uses of unlawful force that may be used against them, plus add more advanced techniques of personal defense. In the development course we will:
- Prerequisite: Foundations of Personal Defense
- Advanced Hand Strikes
- Advanced Leg Strikes
- Introduction of Join locks and Pain Compliance
- Vital Points on the Body
- Developing Our Defensive Strategies
- Robberies and Personal Assaults
- Carjacking
- Anti and De-escalation Techniques
- Fear vs Confidence

TRTG's Defender School
The Defender's School is an advanced continuing education program designed for serious students of personal defense. Our goal is to explore all aspects of personal defense. Our Defenders School focuses on developing personal strategies based on individual abilities. Our perspective is that personal defense training shouldn’t be complicated. We keep it simple with exceptional mastery of basic techniques.
- Prerequisite: Foundations or Development of Personal Defense Program
We are about holistic training
Our Defenders School is a continual monthly program. We meet every Wednesday at 5:00 pm. This is not about learning to fight, its learning to defend.
